Stellar Award-nominated choirmaster, Kenny Lewis & One Voice, will be hosting a live concert in celebration of the release of his new highly anticipated album, The Healing Project with special guests Kim Burrell, Lowell Pye, Paul Porter, and Kevin Lemons’ Higher Calling. The concert will be held on Saturday, September 28 at Faith Deliverance Christian Church at 2018 Lake Harbin Rd in Morrow, GA at 5pm EST. With the massive success of his last album, Undefeated, that garnered multiple nominations and millions of streams, fans can’t wait to hear more of what Kenny Lewis & One Voice have in store!

The Healing Project

When asked about the meaning behind The Healing Project, Lewis says, “One thing I’ve realized is that healing and hopelessness can’t reside in the same space. There’s a lot of past traumas and hurts that we are not healed from. We attempt to sing over them and shout over them, but we’re not healed from the mental/physical abuse that we’ve encountered. I believe there are messages in the music that will help listeners triumph over some of those past situations that we haven’t been healed from.”

When asked about who he made this album for, he says, “I believe there are a lot of people like me that are in leadership positions and deal with anxiety and depression but are expected to be strong. We are expected to always be strong, but no one stops to check on us and says, ‘How are you doing?’ Even though we are in leadership positions no one expects that we will go through things. It is my prayer that this record resonates with the leaders that need to take the time to find their own healing.”

When asked about his own connection to the music he says, “This album freed me. I didn’t make the music because of what the industry was calling for, but it was created from the heart and what I felt with messages written from what I’ve endured.” He continues, “I wasn’t interested in just creating superfluous music just for the sake of music, I hope that people who listen will experience life changing music to help find the healing that I found through this project.
