Memorial Day has come and gone which means for the majority of parents school is out for summer! It’s great to plan your activities for kids far in advance, but let’s talk about what the planning actually looks like.

When planning, most places would like to know the ages of children. This helps them calculate what the cost would look like for you based on the activities they may enjoy as well as how much they will eat! If you have multiple kids like I do, the money has to be set aside to accommodate everyone on the trip. Here are some ideas for summer travel:

1. ORLANDO- of course this is first because you can’t go wrong with what this city has to offer! This location has built their revenue for family travel for the US as well as the international population! Disney, LEGOLAND, Universal Studios, Sea World, and so much more! Don’t get overwhelmed; figure out what the kids are into (and what is in it for the grown folks) and go from there.
2. CRUISING- You can’t go wrong! Pack your suitcase and hop on the boat! Tons of activities for each age group on Carnival and Royal Caribbean to name a few! Not only is it the best babysitting adventure, but you also don’t need a passport to enjoy! Even though you don’t need a passport for cruising, I highly recommend you invest in it for each member of your family.
3. CABINS- Hear me out now, this is super affordable and also some quality time! I know when you hear the word cabins you hear “heat”, “bugs”, and “outside”. There are some nice locations in the South and on the West Coast that offer great options for water activities, sightseeing, and getting them to detach from the phones. It’s intimate and can really get you to reconnect.
