Parents, school is back! There may be some celebrations, but if you check that school calendar they will be on a school break as soon as you blink! If you plan in advance, those long weekends will be the refresher you all need! Be prepared this year. Don’t get caught slipping on creating experiences for the kids.
3 and 4 Day Weekend Ideas
Kids typically have some months that they will be out on a following Monday for a teacher work day or a federally observed holiday. Check those 3 to 4 day weekends to be a mini getaway. Go big or small! Some ideas include indoor and outdoor water parks such as Margaritaville and Great Wolf Lodge. Another idea is go to the nearest city that has aquariums, zoos, kid inspired museums where they can be creative without devices and you get to enjoy some great food.
Week Long School Breaks
Week long breaks will consider a little more thought and time. Some great ways to relax are choosing cruises with Disney, Royal Caribbean or Carnival. Those two ships have something for all ages. If you’re thinking for spring break, educational trips to DC and New York can take a full week. There are resorts here in the US to enjoy as well in Florida for relaxation for everyone. Some theme parks have themed stays for the holidays, so you can reserve a place at the park to stay or check in to a rental home with amenities to have fun for everyone to enjoy!
Summer Breaks
If you are a parent of travel ball kid, pageant kid, etc, pay attention to the locations your family travels during the summer. Look at those city calendars of what is going on in the area to break away from the main task. Saving up for the family trip choose some family friendly all inclusive resorts like Nickelodeon or multiple RIU properties around Mexico and Caribbean Islands. Plenty of time to spend with the family as well as getting your own downtime.
