How to apply Eyeshadow

Have you ever wondered “How to apply eyeshadow”? This will no longer be a question after you read this short article today.

Your eyes are the windows to your soul and are a great canvas to show your personality and style. So, when it comes to different eye looks, I’m giving you permission to wear whatever makes you feel unstoppable. Do you boo!

Makeup is an art that allows you to be your authentic self. Sure, there are makeup trends and new techniques to try. But if these things don’t light you up to walk out your passion and dreams, why do it? 🤔

I believe that every woman is fearfully and wonderfully made so you must rock your uniqueness.

Here are a few tips to help you rock your God-given attributes when you apply your eyeshadow.

1. Eye color – Your eye color is important to determine which shades will accentuate your unique eye color.

Green eyes love mauve, lilac, purple, and plum.

Brown eyes can rock a variety of shades. Blues, purple, and violet all look great on us and make our eyes stand out. But pastels are not our jam.

Hazel eyes are a combination of browns and greens. So eyeshadows with gold or green specks will make your hazel eyes twinkle.

2. Eye shape – Your eye shape is important because it determines the placement of your eye shadow. Is your eye shape hooded, deep-set, or close-set? Find yours here, there are eight to choose from.

3. The number of eyeshadows applied- Choose based on your event. I recommend one eyeshadow for a dash-out-the-door or a 5-minute work look. Add more colors or do a smokey-eye look for more festive events like girls’ or date nights. Quick Tip – A smokey eye look can be done with any color not just black.

4. Apply eye primer – Eye primer will extend your eyeshadow wear so it will last all day. Apply after eye cream but before concealer.

5. Apply concealer – Cover up any redness or darkness on your eyelids for a neutral base.  So, your eyeshadow colors pop and command attention.   👀 see you, girlfriend!

6. Clean brushes – your eye look is only as good as the tools you use. Use clean brushes for optimal performance. Learn how to clean brushes here.

Girlfriend, do you boo! Nobody can do you better.
