Interview with Drea Kelly

We had the pleasure of interviewing Drea Kelly and once we listened to what she had to say made us love the woman she is today even more. She such a ray of sunshine and her down to earth personality will make you smile just because we know there is life after heartache and divorce.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in several places: Southside Chicago off of 35th and King Drive, the suburbs of Bolingbrook, and Naperville as well.

If you could change one thing about your childhood, what would it be? Not a thing. I would not change a thing because I would become a different person.

When did you know that you wanted to be a dancer? I think dance chose me. It was nothing or something I chose. My parents have already said that I didn’t go through that weird phase that babies typically go through from crawling to walking. They said that one night Soul Train was on and I pulled myself up using the television stand and just started dancing. I was born to do this. It was just something that God put on the inside of me.
