When To Book Your Makeup Artist For Your Wedding

Every year, I find myself turning away so many brides mere weeks before their weddings because I am already booked.  The phrase “I can’t find anyone who is not already booked.” is heard so often that I just have to shake my head. There are times that I am able to squeeze these last minute brides into my schedule but it is becoming more rare.

So, when should you book your makeup artist? I say as soon as possible. I receive inquiries as early as 18 months in advance. On average, most of my brides end up booking anywhere from 8 months to a year in advance .

Whether or not you decide to go with a makeup artist for your big day (and I think you should! I’ll discuss more in a future blog) or go it alone, your makeup is just as important as any other major aspect…
